Dear Mr. VP,
Today I’d like to center someone else’s words. Stephanie Woodward, a disability rights lawyer and activist who was dragged out of Mitch McConnell’s office yesterday.
Woodward, born with spina bifida, says, “My parents were working-class people. They couldn’t afford to keep me alive if it wasn’t for Medicaid. Medicaid paid for all my surgeries growing up, paid for my wheelchairs. I wouldn’t be who I am today … without Medicaid getting me here.”

But what about the already born, Mr. VP? They are being forced to defend themselves, as your Senate Majority Leader has them removed from his office for protesting a bill that might kill them.
