Dear Mr. VP,
This letter is actually a little late for you, as you’re currently a bit ahead in time as you visit Estonia*, Georgia, and Montenegro.
Color me a bit…confused? But I’m not sure how an administration elected with Russian help can legitimately be dispatched to calm worries about Russia.
Vice President Pence touched down in Estonia on Sunday on the eve of President Trump’s expected signing of legislation to impose broad sanctions against Russia, and said he came bearing a message from the president: “Russia’s destabilizing activities, its support for rogue regimes, its activities in Ukraine, are unacceptable.”
I’m also concerned about Russia’s support for rogue regimes — yours.
*Pro-tip from someone who won the sixth grade geography bee. The three Baltic states are actually in alphabetical order from north to south: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. Never forget again!
