Dear Mr. VP,
Today I reported the President of the United States of America to Twitter for violating their rules. Let me repeat that. Today I reported THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES for violating Twitter’s rules. Which read:
- Hateful conduct: You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease. We also do not allow accounts whose primary purpose is inciting harm towards others on the basis of these categories.
“You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of….religious affiliation.”
Meanwhile, you’re over here tweeting:
No mention that your boss just tweeted a totally debunked and Islamophobic incitement to violence. No, General Pershing did not use bullets dipped in pig blood and no, he did not bury Muslims with pig heads. And yes, this is hate speech.
Maybe you ought to consider calling out 45’s fake news.
But, no. You’ll just continue to squint your eyes and tilt a bit and shake your head at any criticism. Because your own personal gain — whatever you think that will be — is more important to you than the fact that your boss just singlehandedly created the next recruitment ad for ISIS.
