Dear Mr. VP,
Somewhere between loading the dryer and folding a dozen paper airplanes (it’s a snow day), I heard my phone ding. Ding! It was one of my mom friends with the news about Rex Tillerson.
I don’t know why I’m ever surprised anymore.
I have questions:
- Is it excellent timing to fire your Secretary of State when you’re apparently about to meet with a dictator who frequently threatens to blow us up?
- Is it excellent timing to fire your Secretary of State when you’ve got a foreign power meddling in elections and poisoning people who have defected?
- Is it standard business practice to fire someone via Twitter?
- Can you get fired?
Number four is particularly interesting to me. Can a Vice President be fired? I wasn’t sure, so I took to Google, which told me only Congress can remove you. I suppose Trump could make your life so miserable that you choose to voluntarily separate. Maybe force you to have lunch alone with ladies, or refuse to pay for Marlon Bundo’s upkeep or something.
Honestly. What is it like to be a fly on the wall right now?
I can’t find an updated Trump Bingo card, but man. With Tillerson crossed off, we’re getting near close to a full card.
