Dear Mr. VP,
What is this sense of existential dread I am feeling?
It’s Friday the 13th after all.
Is it because it’s a Friday and that would be the probably-right-time to fire Rod Rosenstein, assuming people already have weekend plans and won’t protest en masse?
Is it because we’re playing fast and loose with the war threats again, but this time with Russia?
Is it just my yearly-lead-up-to-mid-April-this-is-when-the-shit-goes-down-always* anxiety?
Am I sad that you are an entire continent away, attempting to reassert the Monroe Doctrine with a group of people pretty tired of being called rapists and bad hombres?
I don’t know. Maybe it’s just this haircut I don’t love.
* This article specifically references several events on April 19th: Oklahoma City, Waco, the siege at The Covenant, the Sword, and the Lord (they were neo-Nazis), and the Battles at Lexington and Concord. Also on the April list is Columbine (April 20th). And now, of course, we can also add the Boston Marathon bombings, on April 15th.
