Dear Mr. VP,
Today I had a very long drive home from Cleveland. 8.5 hours of driving, to be exact. 17 hours round trip. Which I filled with podcasts on: Aum Shinrikyo, Columbine, Charles Manson, Aileen Wuornos, and 9/11.
I had an interesting moment during one of the 9/11 episodes, which focused on Dick Cheney as a particular force of evil (if not THE force of evil) during the W. Bush presidency. It also noted that Cheney was the first vice president to lead the presidential transition team and handpick all the members of the cabinet. I can’t seem to fact check that exactly, but I did find this very interesting NPR article about Cheney having unprecedented power.
Cheney was a vice president with an agenda, paired with a president who didn’t know what he was doing.
Is this the new Republican thing?
