Dear Mr. VP,
A few weeks ago, my dad told me that you don’t deserve the time I put into writing to you every day.
Today, I’m sort of feeling that. I’m sitting in a campus center, where there’s a television airing the Kavanaugh hearings.
Today’s letter is to someone else.
Dear Dr. Ford,
I believe you. I see you are terrified, and I feel your pain, and I am blown away by your courage. Thank you for putting yourself on the line, for disrupting your life so fully, for stepping into the Capitol building this morning knowing you’d be picked apart by a committee of men hell bent on discrediting you because of their vested interest in maintaining the patriarchy.
I see you, I believe you.
